LACREON ™ technology and UV protection

LACREON ™ production technology embeds a moisture-rich wetting agent directly into the lens that is similar in composition to natural human tears. This moisture helps to reduce friction and provides greater comfort of wear for substantially longer periods of time.

1 Day Acuvue Moist contact lenses are equipped with a UV filter, which provides UVA and UVB protection. They also have an inside-out mark, which makes it easy to determine which side of the lens to place on the eyeball.

Comfortable to wear

Another technological advancement in the production of 1 Day Acuvue Moist is the addition of the lubricating substance called povidone (polyvinylpyrro­lidone) to the solution in which the contact lenses are stored during the manufacturing process. This solution is similar in composition to natural human tears, therefore the lenses are comfortable and easy to tolerate from the first application.
